Harrogate’s Finest Social Club
Established in 1899
We are a private members’ club, established back in 1899 with over 800 members today. We have a lounge, snug and a bar area plus a large function room which is available for private parties.
On the first floor we have a snooker room with two snooker tables, a table tennis room and a meeting room. Children are welcome in the bar and lounge until 8pm as long as they are supervised by parents or guardians.
We hold numerous events, including entertainment such as tribute acts, other live music acts, discos and bingo nights.
What We Offer
Under normal circumstances (Covid restrictions allowing)), we run a number of club trips per year – including a family trip to the coast, a seniors’ trip to the coast and a day at the races to one of Yorkshire’s top courses. All trips are subsidised by the club.
For the armchair sports enthusiast, we have Sky Sports available to watch in the bar, lounge and snug and we also have a large drop-down screen in the function room for major events. Our fantastic function room which holds 120 people is available FREE for adult parties to celebrate special occasions. It is also a great venue for children’s birthday parties where we charge a non-refundable deposit of £75 to cover the cost of cleaning.
Outside, our smart new beer garden is the perfect place to sit, chat, catch the sun and quench your thirst in the Summer afternoons and evenings.
Annual Membership for £10
The bar is run by manager Kate and assistant bar manager Elena. With a great selection of hand-pulled beers, lagers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks, our prices are very competitive at just £3.20 for a pint of beer.
The Club is run by a voluntary committee of members, most of whom have been Club members for many years. The Committee meets every month to ensure the business side of the Club is healthy and meets the needs of members.
Annual membership is just £10 with no joining fee. As a member of the Oatlands, you may invite friends and guests into the club to enjoy a drink or game of pool, darts, snooker or take in the entertainment we offer. Please call into the club and ask at the bar for a membership application form.
